This brand-new show will celebrate the human spirit and the transformative power of travel, with captivating stories from Levison’s remarkable adventures over the past 20 years, from the icy landscapes of the Himalayas to the scorching deserts of Arabia. Levison will take audiences on a visual and emotional journey spanning his entire career to date, including Walking the Nile (which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary), the Himalayas and Americas, as well as documenting efforts to protect endangered species across three continents and exploring volatile borders across the Middle East. He will also offer an exclusive preview of his latest book, The Great Tree Story: How Forests Have Shaped Our World and a behind-the-scenes look at the development of a major film.
Walking the World: A Life of Exploration and Adventure will inspire both seasoned travellers and those dreaming of their first journey, as Levison delves into the philosophy of exploration, reflecting on how his military background, his love for photography and his role as a journalist have shaped his approach to travel. In Autumn 2022, join critically acclaimed author and explorer Levison Wood as he takes to the stage for his third UK tour.
In this entertaining two-hour one-man show, Levison shares his experiences and learnings from a lifetime of travel, from his army career and the front-lines of Afghanistan to his photo-journalism assignments in the Congo and Nepal, as well as world-renowned expeditions through some of the most testing environments on earth, including the Nile, Himalayas and the Arabian peninsula. Levison will reveal the lessons he has learnt on the road and how we can all benefit from applying the philosophy of travel and the Art of Exploration to our normal everyday routines, so we can achieve a positive mindset and get things done.
By sharing his fascinating anecdotes and honest experiences, along with photography and footage from his extensive travels, Levison hopes to inspire the audience to embark on their own journeys – whether through travel or day-to-day life.

An Evening With Levison Wood - Theatre Tour 2017
In this adventure-filled one-man show, Levison recounted his amusing and sometimes poignant tales of life as a soldier in the Parachute Regiment and his subsequent transition into an explorer of international standing, featuring tales and behind the scenes moments from his journeys walking the length of the Nile, the Himalayas and the Americas, all of which were documented for Channel 4. Lev also touched on the people and places that inspired him as a young man to follow this life of adventure. With his honest accounts of life on the road, Levison challenged our preconceptions with the hope of inspiring a new generation of adventurers with tales of hope and hospitality, firmly believing the more people go out and see the world, the better a place it will be.
